現在私たち会員研修委員会は2024 JCI ASPACアンコール大会に向けて、皆様に高松の魅力を伝えられるよう、鋭意準備を進めています。

Information from the Takamatsu Junior Chamber Membership Training Committee.

We, the Membership Training Committee, are currently working hard to prepare for the 2024 JCI ASPAC Encore Convention so that we can convey the charms of Takamatsu to everyone.

本日は、染物をご紹介します。染物は古くから、その土地ごとに様々な技法で作られており、城下町であった高松では、「讃岐のり染」という、世界でも珍しいといわれる技法が使われていました。もち米で作った糊が、違う色の染料が混ざらないようにする役割を果たすことで、絵柄をきれいに染め上げることができる技法で、プリントによりつくられた絵柄とはまた違った趣きが感じられます。

Today, I would like to introduce dyeing. Since ancient times, dyed products have been made using a variety of local techniques, and in Takamatsu, which was a castle town, a technique called “Sanuki nori dyeing” was used, which is said to be rare in the world. The glue made from glutinous rice prevents dyes of different colors from mixing together, allowing the pattern to be dyed beautifully, giving it a different feel than printing.
